Description

Yes Basic Snowboard: Proven and Award-Winning

The Yes Basic snowboard is not just any snowboard; it has been tested, proven and showered with awards. This board was developed as a versatile deck suitable for all types of riders and all types of terrain. Over the years, the Basic has been refined to the point where professional snowboarders and beginners alike regularly reach for it.

Yes Basic with UnderBite

One of the most striking features of the Yes Basic is the UnderBite design. This design gets more turns, more grip and a better carving experience out of any shape we apply it to, and the Basic was the starting point for it all. The board was designed by Guillaume Rousseaux, and the UnderBite edge design redistributes the rider's weight in a way that improves turning ease and edge grip.

How it works. UnderBite technology creates indentations inward into the binding area, reducing and disrupting the surface of the edge in contact with the snow during turning. This increases pressure on the edge by distributing your weight/energy to the areas where you need it - from the binding outward, and through the center of the board where the carve occurs. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 main zones focuses your body's weight on areas that initiate, hold and release turns.

But the Yes Basic snowboard offers more than just UnderBite. It has a core that runs from tip to tail, providing a predictable balance of durability, consistent flex and lightweight construction. This means you can count on the performance of the Basic, whether you're looking for fast carving adventures or just want to have a relaxing day on the mountain.

In short, the Yes Basic snowboard is a proven and award-winning board ready to take on any challenge. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, the Basic delivers performance and versatility you'll want to experience all day on the mountain. Go for it and choose the Yes Basic, and discover why it has become a favorite of snowboarders around the world.

Technical SPecifications

Nidecker Snowboards offers you an extra year warranty against manufacturer defects. Register your board HERE to extend your warranty from two to three years.

Base Extruded

Extruded base is softer than a sintered base, which is not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, at speeds that many ride, this material is faster as it gets going faster.

Core Full Poplar woodcore

Yes Base core for construction of wood core snowboards from nose to tail. Provides a predictable balance of durability, consistent flex and light weight.

Glass Biax

Biax fiberglass, used in snowboards, offers flexibility and responsiveness, allowing snowboarders to experience a more playful ride. It is ideal for freestyle riders and beginners because of its forgiveness and torsional stiffness.

Outline Underbite

The UnderBite edge design redistributes rider weight, improves turning ease and edge grip by creating notches in at the binding area. These notches reduce the area of the edge that contacts the snow during turning, which increases the pressure on the edge and concentrates your weight/energy on the areas that initiate, hold and release turns.

Profile Camrock

The responsiveness of camber with the buoyancy of rocker. By combining camber and rocker you can make the board both responsive and buoyant

Shape True Twin

A snowboard where the shape and dimensions are completely symmetrical in both length and width
