Snowboard boot insoles
Custom snowboard insoles
We already know that snowboarding is awesome. However, there is a large group of people who suffer from cold and sore feet while snowboarding every day. Winter sports demand a lot from your body, and it’s not uncommon to experience burning feet, cramps, or cold toes. Good insoles support the arch of the foot and reduce pressure on your heel. This helps distribute the pressure more evenly across the foot.
Prevent fatigue and nerve compression issues
When snowboarding, you do not roll your foot off. The pressure alternates mainly between the heel and the forefoot. This movement is not something we do in our daily lives and can lead to nerve compression issues. This causes tingling feet. Additionally, it reduces circulation, which can leave you with cold feet as well.
Prevent pressure points caused by overpronation with snowboard insoles
In addition to preventing pinched nerves, snowboard insoles also prevent overpronation of the foot. When you bend your knees, your feet tend to tilt inward more. Additionally, a large group of people (some to varying degrees) have flat feet. These feet will sink even further while snowboarding. This can cause pressure points to develop on the inside of the foot since it pushes against the inside of the boot. You may also experience pain in your little toe as the foot slightly rotates. Good snowboard insoles provide the necessary support to counteract overpronation.
Proper arch support for a high instep
If you have a high instep, you will notice that you also have a lot of space under your foot. Due to the pressure generated while snowboarding, the foot tends to sink. This makes the foot slightly longer and wider. To prevent the foot from sinking, the arch needs to be filled. Most standard insoles found in snowboard boots do not offer support. Why not? Simply put, every foot is different and requires a different insole. Someone with flat feet cannot stand on an insole with a high arch. Conversely, someone with a high instep (large space under the foot) will not benefit from a flat snowboard insole.
Sidas snowboard insoles for skiing or snowboarding
There are many different brands of insoles for a snowboard on the market. The market leader in this area is Sidas. A good insole is, for example, the winter version of 3Feet by Sidas. The insoles are available in three variations: Low, Medium, and High. Additionally, this winter version features aluminum insulation under the forefoot for extra warmth.
