The exterior of the mitten is made from a combination of 67% polyester and 33% goat leather with a DWR treatment (Durable Water Repellent), making the mitten durable and water-resistant. The palm made of durable and water-repellent goat leather not only provides a naturally feeling grip but also the durability you need when adjusting your boots and bindings.
The lining of 200g silky soft high pile fleece (100% polyester) hugs your hands with an unparalleled soft feel, ensuring comfort and warmth go hand in hand. Maintenance of Dakine leather mittens is simple. Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, gently wringing out excess water and letting them dry. It is advised not to turn the mittens inside out during cleaning and to avoid using a heater or dryer, as this may damage the materials. Dakine recommends treating your leather mittens with Nikwax to maintain waterproofness. Test Nikwax on a small area before applying it to the entire mitten. Apply the product to all leather areas for optimal waterproofing, repeating this every 30 days and after washing for the best results.
