The Amplif MKX Top features a radical new design based on 3D body scanning and sports-specific musculoskeletal analysis. The ergonomic cut, flat seams, moisture-wicking Miharo 6+, zipper placement, and advanced cam protector ensure a perfect fit and total freedom of movement under all conditions.
The unique design and HexFlex construction of the MKX protectors make this our lightest, most protective, and breathable silicone protector ever. We are shifting the concept of protection from an "exoskeleton" to a more snug-fitting "base layer" or "second skin" concept, which is a true "Put on and forget" product. Movement is absolutely unrestricted when worn - and will truly enable progressive sports enthusiasts to test their limits and elevate their riding to a higher level. At Amplifi, we were dissatisfied with "off-the-shelf" solutions for back protectors - even so-called "soft protectors" cannot flex in 360 degrees, are bulky, and do not offer the highest breathability. We wanted to create a product that feels like a "second skin" base layer but offers the safety expected from a top protector.
The specific properties of the silicone-based compound provide a "liquid" feel when the protector is worn, developing the tessellating hexagonal design with our material engineers, reducing weight AND allowing free air and moisture passage through the protector - and only 10 mm thick for back protectors and 6 mm for limb protectors!
Zero-Waste production We know we are not perfect, no one is. However, every little bit counts, and with that in mind, we are proud to tell the story of Armourgel and its Zero Waste production process. Every scrap piece, every spare millimeter of material that would otherwise be thrown away - is carefully collected and reused into brand new products! Zero Waste production is the future, and we are happy that it started here.
